Hair loss is one of the most common problems being faced today. Though losing 25 to 50 hair strands in a day is normal, sometimes the hair loss can be lot more and rapid causing worry and concern. 

Few tips to reduce hair loss - 

1. HEALTHY DIET:
Have a diet enrich with vitamin A, vitamin B12, iron, protein & biotin rich foods like dark leafy green vegetables, sweet red peppers, mango, papaya, milk, milk products, beans, nuts, etc.
For example: - Indulge cabbage a rich source of biotin in regular meals.

2. BE HYDRATED:-
Drink at least eight to twelve glasses of water in a day to stay hydrated and for growth of healthy hair.

3. OILING:-
A scalp massage with essential oil for couple of minutes helps your hair follicles remain active.Warm a little oil for a few minutes. Gently rub it over clean scalp and hair shafts allowing the oil to penetrate. Leave it on for a few hours, preferably overnight and then wash with a mild shampoo.

4. REGULAR HAIR WASH:-
Regular hair washing is a part of preventing hair loss by the way of keeping hair and scalp clean. By doing so, you are lowering the risk of infections and dandruff that may lead to hair breakage or loss. Do not hesitate to shampoo hair on a regular basis.

5. EXERCISE:-
Ensure you are exercising efficiently. Yoga and meditation are effective in reducing hair fall.

6. DE-STRESSING:-
Practice destressing to visibly prevent hair fall and keep yourself in a better state of mind. When you’re stressed your body releases hormones like epinephrine and cortisol which acts as a barrier in the process of natural hair growth. So, indulge in activities like walking, reading a book, meditation or swimming, basically anything that you love doing to distract your mind from being stressed. Start doing this today itself, start with a deep breath.

7. AVOID BRUSHING WET HAIR:-
Do not brush your wet hair, as it makes them weak & easy to break.

8. USE OF ANTIOXIDANTS:-
Green tea hasn’t yet been scientifically proven to effectively treat hair loss, but some studies have been done and the results suggest that it may be a promising treatment option. Apply warm green tea (two bags brewed in one cup of water) on your scalp and leave this mixture on for an hour and then rinse.

9. USE OF RIGHT COMB:-
Combing your hair can be a nightmare when you are dealing with hair loss. This can be made easier by using the right comb. Use a wooden wide-tooth comb to untangle your hair; you can use your regular brush after this. This will reduce breakage and hair loss from pulling.

10. HAIR CARE WHILE SLEEPING:-
If your hair is long or medium-length, you should braid it before going to bed. This will prevent it from becoming tangled and frizzy. It will also prevent hair breakage and hair fall.

11. GOOD NIGHT SLEEP:-
Get a good 7 to 8 hours undisturbed & complete sleep every night.

12. AVOID ADDICTIONS:-
Smoking reduces circulation, and this includes blood flow to the scalp. Drinking alcohol and caffeine will hamper the immune system and cause further hair fallout. So break those bad habits for the sake of your hair!

13. USE OF JUICES:-
You can rub your scalp with garlic juice, onion juice or ginger juice. Leave it on overnight and wash it thoroughly in the morning.

14. AVOID HAIR DAMAGE:-
Avoid unnecessary brushing, combing, curling or straightening. Excessive use of these tools and techniques will weaken the hair at the root level.
